Drones will now be Assigned to Aircraft Carriers

The drone has proven itself time and time again in military operations around the world so much that the Navy is looking to begin conducting drone missions from aircraft carriers.

Drones were used sparingly in the war on terror until their worth was discovered. Since then they have been used more and more effectively to ferret out enemy troops and take out the heads of terror organizations.

They have many different intelligence applications and their usefulness is only limited by the imagination of our leaders.

The U.S. Navy has recently introduced the X-47B which is officially labeled an “unmanned combat air system. The first unit is undergoing testing at this time and I believe that it will prove to be quite an effective piece of technology. The applications for its use are almost limitless

Since the drone is smaller than a regular aircraft it would be harder to detect with radar and other detection equipment and would be able to slip into and through enemy air defenses and possibly ship formations. This would make it a much more deadly weapon for fighting the war and for reconnaissance.
