  The US Army Finance Corps is mainly responsible for actions regarding military pay and financial transactions. Anytime a soldier has to make a change or adjustment to his or her pay they have to submit documentation to their unit's finance representative who insures that the transaction is taken care of in a timely manner. The finance representative is also there to assist with handling pay problems and special situations.

The job that they have to perform is awesome because there are so many different service members and pay grades. There are so many different actions which have to be performed also in this diverse environment.

Finance troops are Combat Service Support troops which means that their function is to make it easier for the combat troops to focus on what they need to do which is to fight the battle at hand. The finance representative is one of the favorite people in the unit when troops are experiencing pay problems. Their role is not a combat role but it is critical to the unit.
