Who are the Army Rangers?

 The US Army Rangers is an elite group of  infantry soldiers who specialize in operations that other Army units are not suited for. They are light troops and their primary job is to conduct actions behind enemy lines rather than to try to take and hold ground.

The term Ranger is basic to the types of operations that these units conduct. Ranger units have many functions but are remembered for their reconnaissance and patrolling type operations. Rangers are best known for their  deadly destructive hit and run offensive operations.

They will travel enormous distances on foot in the rear areas of the enemy. Their will hit with force in an area and move out quickly. It is difficult yo stop them because you never know when or where they will strike next. They typically will not attempt to remain in those rear areas forever because they will have a very specific job to perform, but sometimes they will be given multiple missions.
