Let's honor those who have been Killed in Action

kiaI'm sure that you all have heard of this term, and you probably know what it means, but I would just like to do this post in honor of our KIA's. I know that some of my military ring customers are in this category because we have dealt with so many different customers, especially those who purchased US Army rings from us.

The definition of a KIA (killed in action) is a soldier who is killed as the result of hostile action whether it was a firefight or some other means of death as long as it was caused by hostile enemy action.

This is a term that we don't like to hear because it is the ultimate sacrifice that a young man or woman can give. Any time that you hear the term KIA that means that a YOUNG person has just given up the rest of their natural life on this earth for your freedom. We need to appreciate what our young servicemen give to pay for the price of our freedom.

Please remember that those who have been killed in the process of protecting our freedoms didn't die a peaceful death with their family members standing at their bedside. They were scared out of their minds in the most horrible situation that anyone could imagine.

They were probably hungry, thirsty, tired, dirty, frightened, and confused. And they they died a horrible death. Please remember this and give them the honor that they deserve.
