The Arrow 3 Weapon System makes its Debut

  Israel and the US successfully tested the Arrow anti-missile system for the first time. The system is meant to defend Israel from the threat of an Iranian strike. When I found out that the US and Israel were looking to put some defenses in place I wasn't surprised to find out about this latest development.

The technology to put a missile destroying system has been in place for a long time. We used the Patriot Missile effectively during the Gulf  War. I was wondering when the US would announce the newest anti missile weapons system.

The Arrow detects an incoming missile and destroys it with a second missile. This is very similar o what the Patriot Missile did back during Operation Desert Storm.  

The Arrow is part of Israel's multilateral shield designed to intercept rockets and missiles. Israel sees Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile program as an existential threat because the Iranians have made it plain that if they acquire nuclear weapons they won't hesitate to use them against the Israeli's and the US.

Our custom military ring customers would employ many different systems so that if one safeguard fails another should work. There would be long, medium and short range measures to counter incoming missiles as well as a plethora of prevention and protection tactics and techniques.

The purpose of offensive operations would be to destroy nuclear weapons before they can be used and defensive actions seek to protect our installations and custom military ring customers from them after they have been launched. 

Defensive actions can either seek to protect from the effects of detonated weapons or to destroy them before they can explode.
