Wind, rain, air pressure, humidity, air temperature, gravity, and the magnetism and rotation of the earth are a few of the factors which need to be taken into consideration when planning flight, missile, or space operations.
Missile technology and targeting has to be very detailed because the slightest change in any of these weather conditions will translate to great inaccuracy over a long distance.
This information is also critically important to flight planners because the same factors must be taken into account when flying an airplane.
