What is the Definition of the Color Shield on a Military Ring?

  Many of our military ring side panel designs will have what we call a color shield located at the bottom. 

The color shield is a space where you can choose to put two different colors on the side of your ring. There are various reasons to add a color shield and they are all significant.

Most times when people add these designs they are using them to represent either their unit or branch colors. Many times these colors may represent another significant event in their lives or even the life of another person.
